Independent Jewish Voices-Winnipeg, United Jewish People’s Order Winnipeg and CUPE Global Justice Committee are pleased to welcome Janey Stone to speak about her co-authored book, The Radical Jewish Tradition: Revolutionaries, Resistance Fighters and Firebrands, published by Verso in 2026. The book celebrates the history of Jews in leftwing and revolutionary struggles, which included armed uprisings, anti-zionist solutions to antisemitism, and leading strike waves in multi-ethnic coalitions of workers against their bosses.
This is the last stop on the book’s North American launch. A discussion will follow.
