April 16th, 7:00 pm
Ukrainian Labour Temple
581 Pritchard Ave.
For the past 81 years, the United Jewish People’s Order/Jews for Social Justice has honoured the memory of those who took part in the largest single revolt by Jews against the Nazis in World War II. The April 1943 uprising of the Warsaw Ghetto was an impossible situation, but the young men and women who took up arms chose to fight rather than let the Germans determine the time and place of their deaths. The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising stands out in history as an example of collective resistance and will not be forgotten.
This year’s event, The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and its Meaning for Humanity will be addressed by Dr. Lionel Steiman and Shahina Siddiqui, with a choral presentation by the North End Jewish Folk Choir.
Everyone is welcome, with no cost to atted. Please bring family and friends.
