Part of Doors Open – Celebrating the stories our buildings tell Ukrainian Labour Temple and Doors Open Saturday, May 24 & Sunday, May 25 Noon – 4:00 pm Location: Ukrainian Labour Temple - 591 Pritchard Avenue
Built over one hundred years ago, largely by volunteer labour committed to art, culture, and community activism, our building played a role in the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike and is the only labour building that is still active to this day. You may have driven by our historic building many times without realizing what treasurers await inside.
This year we are featuring our incredible interior that continues to amaze those seeing inside our building for the first time. From the detailed ornate features to our historic stage and balcony, everything has remained largely intact as built in 1919.
NOTE: Saturday's tours will be in conjunction with our "North End NEIGHBORS" Culture Fest.
